Business Intro. Originally the business was started following myself being converted to drinking Gin and a desire to work for myself. After many years of hating the smell, taste and everything Gin related, I found a real passion for the juniper taste. Following several rounds of research I found it wasn't Gin that I didn't like, it was poor quality Gin and Tonic drinks. Therefore a business was created to showcase some of the best Gins available both from Wales and further afield.
Soon after we the bar was launched we became aware that not only did we have an amazing 'Mobile Gin Bar', we had an extremely popular wedding and event bar. Therefore, we found ourselves being booked for many weddings where we needed to offer all drinks - not just Gin. During this time we had gained a good reputation amongst the Gin community from both customers and producers for not only selling good Gin but also offering Gin Tastings and Gin Tours of local distilleries. Our popularity and high number of confirmed bookings showed us the potential to have additional bars.

Bars of Distinction
After lots of careful consideration and several conversations with good friends we launched Bars of Distinction. The Gin Tin Bar is a Bar of Distinction. All of our bars can offer all drinks, one of the smaller bars - The Drinks Tin is available for 'dry hire'. We needed to keep the original name, firstly because that's how we were known and secondly because that's the bar that's put as a finalist for 'Gin Bar of the YEAR'. 
'Gin and Everything'
We offer a large selection of Gins but can also offer a full bar service for all private events unless requested not to. We always have a selection of beers, ciders and a wide selection of spirits on our bar unless requested not to by the organiser. We also offer a customised cocktail menu for each event. |
So, moving forward the plan was to offer all bars for all events and when we attended large events/festivals we would attend as a Gin Bar - this will continue. Our plans changed temporarily in 2020, as did everyones, read our blog posts for info.

Our Bars
We currently have two converted caravan bars and a Terrace Bar that can be used both indoor and outdoor. We can be flexible with the event, there is not a one size fits all solution or price list. Depending on the location and whether its inside or outside we can bring a bar to suit the venue.

Dry Hire
We can offer a dry bar (no alcohol, glassware etc) Please take a look at The Drinks Tin. We can offer a fully stocked bar, with or without glassware and staff. We can offer the full solution for the entire event. This includes full insurance and a license for the bar. We will work with you to ensure we have the correct number of staff for your event. We will provide as much guidance as possible to ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible when using a 'Dry Hire Service'. We can decorate the bar to match your colour theme of your event. This will all be discussed prior to the event. |
